Bhubaneswar: The state government has initiated disciplinary action against an Additional Tahsildar in Odisha’s Nuapada district.

Khariar Additional Tahsildar Bhupinder Singh, an Odisha Revenue Service (ORS) officer, has been placed under suspension, said the Revenue and Disaster Management Department today.

The disciplinary action has been initiated against Singh in accordance with Odisha Civil Services (Classification, Control & Appeal) Rules, 1962, added the department.

The ORS officer has been asked to report to the office of the Revenue Divisional Commission (RDC), North Division, in Sambalpur during his suspension period.

Singh is entitled to receive subsistence allowance during his suspension period, stated the Revenue Department.
