Bhubaneswar: In a saddening incident, a man and his minor son were killed in a road mishap in Odisha’s Mayurbhanj district today.

The mishap took place near Kalikapur under Karanjia police limits in the afternoon.

The deceased have been identified as Ganasa Kisku and his son Ramraj Kisku (8) of Saradha village under Badagaon panchayat.

As per reports, the accident took place while Ganasa, his wife and son were returning home in an auto-rickshaw after consulting a doctor at a hospital in Karanjia area.

A speeding truck hit the auto-rickshaw from the front, killing Ganasa and his son on the spot. Ganasa’s wife and the driver of the auto-rickshaw were critically injured in the accident.

The locals rescued the injured persons and rushed them to a hospital in Keonjhar district.
