Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Higher Education Department on Friday declared the provisional results of the entrance examination for admission to two-year B.Ed., M.Ed. and B.H.Ed. courses for the 2026-27 academic session.
Candidates who appeared for the Teacher Education (TE) entrance examination can now check their provisional scores by logging into the SAMS Teacher Education Portal using their existing username and password.
According to the Higher Education Department, admissions will be conducted in 31 teacher education institutions across the state, which together offer 2,800 seats. Of these, 2,450 seats are available for B.Ed., 300 for M.Ed., and 50 for B.H.Ed.
A total of 1,13,540 candidates had applied for the entrance examination, including 1,09,873 for B.Ed., 1,788 for M.Ed., and 1,879 for B.H.Ed.
Out of them, 1,01,030 candidates appeared for the examination. The attendance included 98,170 B.Ed. aspirants, 1,318 M.Ed. candidates, and 1,542 B.H.Ed. applicants, while 12,510 candidates remained absent.
The department has also opened an online objection window for candidates who wish to challenge their provisional marks. Objections can be submitted only through the Online Objection Module on the SAMS portal between 2:00 pm on July 10 and 6:00 pm on July 13.
Officials said all objections will be examined before publishing the final entrance marks, which will be used for choice filling, seat allotment and admission to the teacher education courses for the 2026-27 academic year.
The Higher Education Department advised candidates to regularly visit the SAMS portal for updates regarding the publication of final marks, counselling and subsequent admission-related activities.
