Bhubaneswar: The Higher Education Department of Odisha has announced the schedule for admission into two-year B.Ed, B.H.Ed, and M.Ed programmes for the 2026–27 academic session, outlining important dates for students and participating institutions.

As per the notification, candidates can lock their choice of institutions through the SAMS (Student Academic Management System) portal from 3:00 PM on July 27 to 11:45 PM on August 5.

The first merit list will be published on August 11 at 2:00 PM. Candidates selected in this round can exercise the ‘Freeze’ or ‘Slide’ options on the SAMS portal between 4:00 PM on August 11 and 3:00 PM on August 14.

Admissions will be carried out based on marks secured in the entrance examination.

The second merit list is scheduled for release on August 20 at 11:00 AM.

A total of 2,800 seats are available across 31 higher education institutions under the department for these courses in the 2026–27 academic session.

The department has also informed that first-year classes for B.Ed, B.H.Ed, and M.Ed programmes will commence from August 25.

Any changes to the schedule will be updated on the official SAMS portal: https://te.samsodisha.gov.in/.
