Bhubaneswar: A young girl reportedly drowned in the swimming pool of a hotel in Odisha’s Puri city today.

The deceased has been identified as Mama, a resident of Goudabada Sahi in the Holy City.

As per reports, Mama drowned in the swimming pool of Hotel Naren Palace in Penthakata area of Puri.  She along with her friends Raja of Bali Sahi and Sweety of Malatipatpur was enjoying a bath in the swimming pool, reports said.

Mama was immediately rushed to the Puri District Headquarters Hospital (DHH), where she was declared dead on arrival by the doctors. On being informed, the police reached the DHH and seized the body before launching a probe into the incident.
