Bhubaneswar: President Droupadi Murmu on Tuesday departed from Bhubaneswar Railway Station for Berhampur in a special train.

The train carrying the President left Bhubaneswar under extensive security arrangements. Two additional special trains are escorting the President's train throughout the journey to ensure safe and smooth movement.

After arriving at Berhampur, President Murmu is scheduled to travel by road to Taptapani in Ganjam district. She will offer prayers at the Maa Kandhuni Devi Temple.

Authorities have put in place elaborate security measures along the Bhubaneswar-Berhampur train route. Personnel from the Government Railway Police (GRP), Railway Protection Force (RPF), Odisha Police and other security agencies have been deployed at railway stations, level crossings and other vulnerable points to ensure a secure passage.

The President's three-day Odisha visit began on Monday.
