Bhubaneswar: President Droupadi Murmu will undertake a three-day visit to Odisha from August 3 to 5, during which she will travel by train from and to Brahmapur (formerly Berhampur). 

According to the President's draft itinerary, she will depart from Palam Airport, New Delhi, at 12 noon on August 3 aboard an Indian Air Force aircraft and arrive at Biju Patnaik International Airport, Bhubaneswar, at 2.10 pm.

After reaching Bhubaneswar, President Murmu will proceed to Lok Bhavan, where she will have a reserved schedule until 4 pm. She will then travel by road to Jagadguru Kripalu University at Banara, Mundali in Kataka (formerly Cuttack), where she will attend the inauguration ceremony as the chief guest from 5 pm to 6 pm. Following the event, she will return to Lok Bhavan for the night.

On August 4, the President will begin her journey to southern Odisha by boarding a special train from Bhubaneswar Railway Station at 9 am. She is scheduled to arrive at Berhampur Railway Station at 11.10 am, from where she will travel by road to Panthanivas, Taptapani.

After lunch and a brief rest, which includes a traditional bath in the Taptapani hot springs, President Murmu will visit the Maa Kandhuni Devi Temple at Taptapani. She will later proceed to Gopalpur, where she will stay overnight.

On August 5, the President will leave Gopalpur for Berhampur Railway Station and return to Bhubaneswar on a special train. After arriving at Bhubaneswar Railway Station, she will proceed directly to the airport and depart for New Delhi aboard an Indian Air Force aircraft. She is expected to reach Palam Airport at 3.10 pm before returning to Rashtrapati Bhavan.

The visit is expected to witness elaborate security arrangements across the three cities, particularly around the President's travel routes and programme venues.

President Murmu's visit holds special significance as it includes the inauguration of Jagadguru Kripalu University, a major educational institution in Cuttack district, along with visits to prominent locations in southern Odisha.
