Bhubaneswar: The results of the Odisha Plus Two Examinations 2026 conducted by the Council of Higher Secondary Education (CHSE) were announced on Wednesday.

According to the official data released by CHSE, the Science stream recorded the highest pass percentage at 88.80 per cent, followed closely by Commerce with 88.07 per cent.

The Arts stream registered a pass percentage of 84.50 per cent.

The pass percentage for the Vocational Education stream stood at 77.62.

The results will be made available on the official CHSE website from 3 PM onwards.

This year, 4,01,623 students from Arts, Science, Commerce and Vocational Education streams had filled up forms for the examinations. Of them, 3,98,090 students appeared for the examinations at 3,082 centres across the state.

Among the candidates, the highest number of students appeared from the Arts stream with 2,54,119 examinees. The Science stream had 1,13,826 candidates, while 24,289 students appeared from Commerce and 5,856 from Vocational Education.

Evaluation of answer sheets was carried out at 51 centres by around 15,000 teachers engaged in the assessment process.

Improvement Examinations

The council has announced that improvement examinations will be introduced from this year to help students improve their scores after the declaration of results. The improvement examinations will be conducted simultaneously with the instant examinations, likely in the first week of July.

Students who have passed in all subjects will be eligible to appear for the improvement examination. Under the new system, candidates can reappear in any one paper of their choice to improve their marks.

A notification regarding form fill-up for the improvement and instant examinations will be issued by May 27.

The council further informed that students securing a minimum of 210 marks but failing in one subject will be eligible to appear for the instant examination.
