Bhubaneswar: The Supreme Court Collegium has approved the proposal for the appointment of four advocates as judges of the High Court of Orissa.

The decision was taken at the Collegium meeting held on August 18, 2026, according to a statement issued by the Supreme Court.

The four advocates approved for appointment are Sasmita Tripathy, Aditya Narayan Das, Rajjeet Roy and Gautam Misra.

The Orissa High Court is currently functioning with 17 active judges against a sanctioned strength of 33. Two judges, including Chief Justice Harish Tandon, are set to retire this year.
