Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government has announced the closure of schools in four districts on Friday due to the prevailing flood situation.
All government and private schools in Khordha, Jagatsinghpur, Bhadrak and Jajpur will remain closed as a precautionary measure in view of the flood conditions.
The authorities have also declared a holiday for all government and private schools in Jagatsinghpur and Jajpur districts on Saturday.
The decision has been taken to ensure the safety of students and school staff as floodwaters continue to affect several areas. District administrations have advised schools to comply with the order until normal conditions are restored.
