Rourkela: A sex racket operating from a rented house in the L Block area of Civil Township in Odisha's Rourkela was busted by the Raghunathpali police during a late-night raid on Sunday.

Police rescued two women and detained two customers for questioning. Several objectionable materials were seized during the raid.

According to the preliminary investigation, an elderly woman from Orampada in Uditnagar, along with one of her relatives, had rented the house to carry out the illegal activity.

Investigators suspect that the accused had been bringing women from Jharkhand and Kolkata to operate the racket. Further inquiry is underway to identify others involved and determine the full extent of the network.

Police are continuing their investigation into the case.
