Bhubaneswar: The Utkal University has postponed the fourth-semester examinations scheduled for Monday in view of the flood situation reported in parts of Odisha.

The postponed examinations include those for undergraduate courses, B.Sc, ITM, B.Sc Computer Science and B.Ed (UDTE). The examinations were scheduled to be held at degree colleges and self-financing colleges affiliated with Utkal University.

The university authorities said the decision was taken keeping the safety of students in mind, as flood conditions have affected several parts of the state.

A fresh date for the postponed examinations will be announced later, the university said.

The university has also directed the concerned colleges to immediately inform students and teachers about the change in the examination schedule.
