New Delhi/Bhubaneswar: Millions of users of Facebook faced difficulties logging in on Wednesday, marking the second major outage in just three days.

Several users reported encountering error messages such as “Sorry, something went wrong” while attempting to access Facebook.

Earlier, on July 19, users of Facebook, Instagram and Messenger — all owned by Meta — experienced a widespread outage that disrupted access to their accounts.

The disruption lasted for a significant part of the day and primarily affected the desktop versions of Facebook and Instagram. Users trying to log in through web browsers faced repeated errors and access issues.

However, the mobile applications of these platforms were largely unaffected, with most users able to continue using the services without major interruptions on their smartphones.
