Sambalpur: The Economic Offence Wing (EOW) of Mumbai Crime Branch today arrested Khirod Mallick, brother of former Minister Pramila Mallick, for his alleged involvement in a financial irregularities case.

Also, the EOW sleuths arrested Khirod’s son Debabrata Mallick from Sambalpur in connection with the case registered in Mumbai in 2012.

The father-son duo was arrested following a raid by the EOW of Mumbai Crime Branch with the help of local police.

Worth mentioning, in 2014, the EOW of Odisha Crime Branch had arrested Khirod for defrauding small investors through his NGO Bharat Integrated Social Welfare Agency (BISWA).
