NAAC status to Odisha's Basic Science College, Central University

Bhubaneswar: Odisha's premier educational institutions Basic Science College and Koraput Central University were granted the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) status for meeting all the required criteria.

Total 11 more educational institutions of the state received the NAAC accreditation at its 28th standing committee meeting attended by NAAC's Peer Team held here on Tuesday.

Among the institutions, only Basic Science College was granted B++ grade, three including Central University received B+ accreditation, six colleges B grade and one college was granted C grade of the NAAC.

While Koraput-based Central University got B+ status by achieving 2.59 points, B grade was granted to Bhadrak's Ghanteswar College, Kaptipada College in Mayurbhanj district, Deogarh College, Pathani Samanta College in Nayagarh, Sidheswar College in Balasore and Bargarh's Mahatma Gandhi College.

Apart from Central University, B+ accreditation was also granted to Hinjilicut Science College in Ganjam and Bhubaneswar based Radhakrishna Institute of Technology and Engineering (RITE) in Barunei. The Dunguripali College of Sonepur district received C grade at the meeting.
