Odia jawan martyred in Pulwama IED blast

Bhubaneswar: Ajit Kumar Sahoo, a jawan of the Indian Army from Odisha, was today martyred after sustaining injuries in an IED blast by militants in Jammu and Kashmir's Pulwama district yesterday.

Sahoo hailed from Badasuala village in Kamakhyanagar area of Dhenkanal district. He had joined the Indian Army in 2015. He was initially injured in the attack and later succumbed to his injuries today.

A pall of gloom descended on Badasuala village after the death of Sahoo.

On the fateful day, militants had attacked a truck carrying Indian Army troops with an car-borne improvised explosive device (IED).
