Odisha: AIIMS-Bhubaneswar to provide free health services under BSKY

Bhubaneswar: Extending quality healthcare services for economically-backward patients under its flagship Biju Swasthya Kalyan Yojana (BSKY), the Odisha Government signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) Bhubaneswar here today.

The MoU was signed between the hospital and the state Health and Family Welfare Department in presence of Health Minister Naba Kishore Das and Secretary Pramod Kumar Meherda, and AIIMS Bhubaneswar Director Gitanjali Batmanabane.

As per the agreement, the premier hospital will provide free treatment services to needy patients under the Government scheme.

Earlier in the day, the Health Minister chaired a meeting with the management of private hospitals and discussed issues related to treatment of patients under BSKY. He also urged the management to be sensitive while catering to the needs of economically-backward patients.
