Odisha CM retains Hinjili seat, resigns from Bijepur

Bhubaneswar: Putting all speculations to rest, Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has retained the Hinjili assembly seat and resigned from Bijepur constituency.

Patnaik informed it to Surjya Narayan Patro, Speaker of the Odisha Legislative Assembly, through a letter.

The CM also expresses his gratitude and thanked the people of Bijepur for their love and support.

Notably, Patnaik had successfully contested the Odisha Assembly Elections-2019 from Hinjili and Bijepur constituencies.

The CM had on May 30 announced a special package for the Bijepur constituency. He announced several welfare projects including providing 34,000 eligible households having kutcha houses with pucca houses and piped water supply with household connection to all the villages of Bijepur in the next two years.
