Bhubaneswar: Former cricketer Pravanjan Mullick has been appointed as the head coach of the Senior Men’s Cricket Team of Odisha for the BCCI Domestic Season 2026-27.
This was announced by the Odisha Cricket Association (OCA) today. The OCA had earlier invited applications for appointment of various support staff for the upcoming domestic season of the BCCI.
The shortlisted candidates had appeared before the OCA Cricket Advisory Committee comprising Kishore Mania, Chinmayananda Jena and Soumitra Choudhury.
The OCA appointed the head coach and other support staff for the Senior Men’s Cricket Team after thorough evaluation of the shortlisted candidates.
Mullick had earlier served as the head coach of Odisha Under-19 team and guided the side to the quarterfinals of Vinoo Mankad Trophy during BCCI Domestic Season 2025-26.
He was also the head coach of ‘Cuttack Panthers’ franchise in the inaugural edition of Odisha Pro T20 League last year.
Moreover, Mullick had served as the head coach of Rising Students Club that had emerged as the champions of the OCA Club Cricket League.
Apart from his career as a coach, Mullick was a member of the Odisha Senior Men’s Selection Committee for five years. He had represented Odisha in 88 First-Class matches and 56 List-A matches during his domestic cricket career, said the OCA.
According to the OCA, Santanu Ghosh has been appointed as the Technical Director of the Odisha Cricket Academy.
