Bargarh: At least two school students were killed and two others sustained critical injuries as a speeding truck ran over them near Kudopali village under Sohela police limits in Odisha's Bargarh district this morning.

According to reports, the tragedy struck when some students of Sri Aurobindo Integral Education Centre at Luhurachati were waiting for school bus near the village.

While two of them, identified as Dayasagar Pradhan (6) and Anant Andeja (6) died on the spot, two others were grievously injured in the mishap. They were rushed to hospital by locals.

The driver of the truck fled the spot with the vehicle soon after the accident. Locals statged a road blockade demanding compensation for the family of the deceased.
