Fake currency racket busted in Odisha, kingpin arrested

Baripada: Odisha police today busted a fake currency note racket in Baripada and arrested its kingpin.

As many as 94 fake currency notes in denomination of Rs 2000 were seized from the possession of Sheikh Saliuddin, the arrested accused hailing from Basta area of Balasore district.

Worth mentioning, two students were arrested on Wednesday after a transaction by them at a shop using fake currency note. The shopkeeper had handed them over to police.

During questioning, involvement of Sheikh Saliuddin in the racket came to fore, on the basis of which police arrested him today.
