Bhubaneswar: The 19th Rozgar Mela will be organised across 47 locations in the country, including the Odisha capital, at 11 am on May 23.
On the occasion, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will distribute more than 51,000 appointment letters to newly-recruited youth through video conferencing and address the gathering.
As part of this nationwide initiative, the Rozgar Mela in the Odisha capital will be held at the Railway Auditorium under the chairmanship of Union Tribal Affairs Minister Jual Oram. During the programme, altogether 186 candidates from Odisha will receive appointment letters for various government posts.
The newly-recruited candidates will join various Ministries and Departments of the Union Government, including the Ministry of Railways, Ministry of Home Affairs, Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Department of Financial Services, Department of Higher Education and others.
The Rozgar Mela is a significant initiative of the Union Government aimed at accelerating employment generation and providing meaningful opportunities to the youth. Since its inception, around 12 lakh appointment letters have been distributed through 18 Rozgar Melas organized across the country, reflecting the government’s continued commitment to employment generation and youth empowerment.
