Bhubaneswar: In a key appointment, the Odisha Government today appointed Dr Nilakantha Mishra as Special Secretary (Public Health), Health and Family Welfare Department. The appointment comes into immediate effect.

Dr Mishra is currently Director of Public Health, Odisha.

The Government also appointed Dr Nilakkshi Sircar as Director-cum-Ex-officio Special Secretary (Tech) Health and Family Welfare Department.

Dr Pradip Kumar Hota was posted as Director, Public Health, Odisha whereas Dr Mahesh Mohan Panda as Director, Health Services, Odisha.

Dr Manoranjan Rout was posted as Director-cum-Ex-officio Special Secretary (Tech) Health and Family Welfare Department.

In a notification, the Health and Family Welfare Department stated the above mentioned four Medical Officers in the rank of Senior Administrative Grade have been promoted to the rank of Super Time Pay Grade of Odisha Medical and Health Services cadre carrying the scale of Level-17 of Pay Matric of ORSP Rules, 2017.

The appointments made on adhoc basis is for a period not extending one year or till receipt of the recommendation of the OPSC or till their retirement whichever is earlier, the notification added.
