Bhubaneswar: The Southwest Monsoon has advanced further into Odisha, bringing the entire coastal belt under its coverage.
According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), the monsoon, which had progressed into some districts of North Coastal Odisha on June 12, advanced into several more districts on June 15 after a gap of two days.
Conditions are favourable for the further advancement of the Southwest Monsoon into the remaining parts of Odisha over the next four to five days.
Meanwhile, the IMD has predicted no significant change in day temperatures over Odisha during the next three days. Thereafter, day temperatures are likely to fall by 2 to 3 degrees Celsius in several districts.
