Bhubaneswar: Three persons, including a woman, were killed after a speeding truck hit two two-wheelers on the National Highway (NH)-16 in the Odisha capital here today.

The mishap took place on an overbridge near the Fire Station Square in the evening.

As per reports, the speeding truck hit a motorcycle and a scooter from the rear on the overbridge. Altogether four persons were critically injured in the mishap. The truck driver fled the spot soon after the accident, reports said.

On being informed, the police as well as Fire Brigade personnel reached the spot and rushed the injured persons to a hospital.

However, three of them were declared dead on arrival by the doctors. The fourth one is undergoing treatment, police said.

However, the identities of the deceased persons are yet to be known.
