Balangir: In view of the prevailing heatwave conditions and rising temperatures, the district administration in Odisha's Balangir has announced the closure of all educational institutions from April 18 to April 21.

The decision was taken by the District Collector following a sharp increase in daytime temperatures, making it difficult for students to attend classes safely. The move aims to protect students from the adverse effects of extreme heat.

According to the announcement, all schools, colleges, and other educational institutions across the district will remain shut during this period. The administration has also indicated that further decisions regarding the extension of closure will be taken after reviewing the weather conditions in the coming days.

Balangir, along with several parts of Odisha, has been experiencing an intense heatwave.
