Sundargarh: In a tragic incident, two truck drivers were burnt alive after their trailers caught fire following a head-on collision on the Biju Expressway in Odisha's Sundargarh district early on Tuesday.

The accident occurred near Kaintara Chhak under Bhasma police station limits on State Highway-10. The two trailers collided head-on, triggering a massive fire that engulfed both vehicles within moments.

The drivers of the two trucks failed to escape from their vehicles and were trapped inside as the flames spread rapidly. Both drivers were burnt alive in the incident.

After receiving information about the accident, Bhasma Police and the Fire Services personnel rushed to the spot. Firefighters brought the blaze under control.

The identities of the deceased drivers have not been established so far. Police have begun an investigation to ascertain the exact cause of the accident.
