Keonjhar: A 23-year-old woman was found dead under suspicious circumstances in a mess at Kashipur under Keonjhar Town police limits in Odisha on Thursday evening.

The deceased has been identified as Ritika Lohar, a native of Joda. She was working in the finance department of IDFC FIRST Bank.

According to reports, the body was found hanging inside the rented accommodation. On receiving information, police reached the spot, brought down the body and initiated an investigation.

The body was subsequently sent to the district headquarters hospital for post-mortem examination.

The exact cause behind the suspected suicide is yet to be ascertained. Police said the investigation is ongoing to determine the circumstances leading to the incident.
