Rs 45 lakh looted from bank employees on Odisha capital outskirts

Bhubaneswar: Miscreants allegedly looted Rs 45 lakh from employees of a bank at Phulnakhara on the outskirts of Odisha capital today.

According to reports, some employees of Indian Bank were carrying the cash from the bank's Niali branch to Sahid Nagar branch in a cab when 5-6 persons wearing masks intercepted the vehicle.

They threatened the occupants of the four-wheeler with gun and took away the amount from their possession. The looters also damaged the cab.

Police have started investigation into the incident. The driver of the cab was detained by cops for questioning.
