Balangir: One SOG jawan was injured by Maoists in combing operation here on Sunday night in Mahakhand forest.

The injured jawan was identified as Chandrabhanu Bhoi. He has been shifted to Visakhapatnam on a chopper for treatment.

The Maoists attacked the security forces at around 9 pm during combing operation launched by police and SOG.

The police had information that the militants were hiding in the Mahakhand forest. Acting on the information, the combing operation was launched and Bhoi was injured fire exchange.
