Youth found dead inside Gurudwara in Odisha capital

Bhubaneswar: A young man has been found dead on the premises of Gurudwara Singh Sabha, here today.

According to reports, the deceased has been identified Subhash Nayak, a resident of Section-III, Harijan Basti of Kanjia Huda area. He was working as an attendant in the Gurudwara for the last six months.

A security guard spotted the body hanging from the ceiling of a room at about 4:30 pm in the afternoon and informed the cops.

The Kharvel police station officials reached the spot on being informed and recovered the body. The scientific team is also conducting examination of the crime spot and a probe has been initiated into the case.

Police sources also revealed that a note written in Hindi has been recovered from the same room.

Irate locals ransacked the Gurudwara and blocked Janpath, demanding arrest of the culprit and justice for the victim alleging murder. "He was illiterate. He did not know how to write in even Odia. How can he write such a suicide note in a language he does not know? Someone has definitely killed him," said locals.

Police forces have been deployed to avoid any untoward incident.
