Kabisuryanagar: A violent clash broke out between two groups at Gudiali Chhak near Kabisuryanagar police station in Ganjam district creating panic in the area. 

Street turns battleground

The confrontation quickly escalated into a bloody street fight involving sharp weapons. At least six people from both groups sustained injuries in the attack. Three critically injured individuals were shifted to Aska SDH for treatment, while the remaining three were admitted to the Kabisuryanagar Community Health Centre.

Business rivalry suspected as trigger

While the exact cause of the clash remains unclear, preliminary reports suggest a business-related dispute. One group reportedly runs a small breakfast stall at Gudiali Chhak, while the rival group allegedly demanded that the stall be removed and extorted money.

Heated argument escalates into violence

Tensions had reportedly been simmering between the two sides for some time. What began as a verbal altercation soon turned violent, with both groups attacking each other using sharp weapons, leaving the street bloodstained.

Police launch investigation

Local residents rushed the injured to hospitals following the incident. Meanwhile, Kabisuryanagar police reached the spot soon after and have launched an investigation to ascertain the exact sequence of events and bring those responsible to justice.
