Bhubaneswar: As many as 34 minor boys, on their way to Hyderabad, were rescued from Falaknuma Express at Odisha’s Berhampur city today.
Officials of the Railway Protection Force (RPF) rescued the minor boys at Berhampur Railway Station and handed them over to the Government Railway Police (GRP), reports said.
As per reports, the minor boys, all from the Muslim community, are the natives of West Bengal and Bihar. They were reportedly travelling to Hyderabad for study purposes.
However, the GRP has launched a probe into the incident by interrogating two youths, who were accompanying the minors to Hyderabad.
On being informed, officials of the Child Welfare Committee (CWC) reached the GRP police station at Berhampur and talked to the rescued minors.
