Bhubaneswar: In view of the prevailing heatwave conditions, the Khordha district administration has announced the closure of all schools and Anganwadi centres from April 20 to April 23.

The decision was taken by the District Collector following a sharp rise in temperature and increasing discomfort due to extreme heat.

The move aims to safeguard students from the adverse effects of the ongoing heatwave.

As per the directive, all government and private schools across the district will remain closed during this period. Anganwadi centres have also been included in the closure order.
