Malkangiri: The District Education Office in Odisha's Malkangiri has announced the closure of all schools for students from April 22 to April 25 in view of the prevailing heatwave conditions across the district.

According to an official order issued on April 21, the decision has been taken to safeguard the health and well-being of students as temperatures continue to rise sharply.

The directive applies to all government, government-aided and privately managed schools in the district, covering classes from pre-primary to Class XII. However, the closure is limited to students, while teaching and non-teaching staff have been asked to attend schools as per existing instructions, from 6:30 am to 10:30 am.

Administrative work, admissions, census duties and other essential school-related activities will continue during this period.

Additionally, any examinations scheduled by boards such as BSE, CHSE, CBSE and ICSE will be held as per their respective programmes.
